Born In Birmingham, Al, but raised in Tulsa, OK, Chris “King Abstrakt” Nored has always had a passion for the arts. Whether it be singing, dancer, or acting, his love for them always has shined through. Growing up Chris found his love for dance from watching great performers like Michael Jackson, Usher, and Chris Brown. He knew from watching them that he wanted to learn how to move like them, so he began watching videos and training. Years later Chris decided he wanted to audition for the famous Jenks Trojanaires Show Choir and he made the cut! He went on that year to win “Best Male Performer” at FAMES Show Choir Cup in Branson, Missouri! After high school Chris wanted to take his dance skills to another level by going to Oral Roberts University to study dance performance under the late Amy McIntosh. While there he studied dance forms such as ballet, jazz, modern, and ballroom styles. During college Chris got the chance to dance in two music videos for the Grammy Nominated “Hanson” brothers. Which one of the video made it to number one on Vh1 top 20 countdown. From there Chris went on to choreograph/dance for the Tulsa Shock, Tulsa only professional sports team, where he spent 5 years doing so. Soon after the Shock, Chris decided to get elite training under Shayna and Adam Acosta of “The Legacy Project” where he taught, and trained for over 8 years. Chris has competed in several major competitions like “World of Dance” and “Hip Hop International” (the Olympics of hip hop) with Legacy Crew, where his choreography has been seen on both stages. As of recent Chris has been able to work with several artist one being “NBC’s The Voice” Brian Nhira. Where he choreographed “The Hope Stand Tour” shows. He also choreographed several music videos for Brian such as “Get Up”, “Is This Love”, and “Hero” which have all received over a million views on all social networks. Chris has also been to dance in music videos with Weston Horn and the hush. Recently Chris got the opportunity to choreograph/dance for the opening artist Coriano Gipson on “The Trust Tour” featuring the Grammy Award winning Monica, and Keyshia Cole. Chris has gotten some recognition from Bruno Mars, on his YouTube page for a video that he choreographed to Bruno’s song “Finesse” feat Cardi B. The video was named as one of the best video of “Finesse” online! Chris is currently on his 8th year as hip hop teacher and 2nd competition choreographer. He loves being able to travel and teach at different dance classes across America! He also just started his hip hop company Abstrakt Mindz, where he wants to take dancers to the next level! Chris wants to continue to spread his passion for dance as long as he can.
