Megan Maddux

MEGAN
Megan has been dancing since she was 3 years old, and was a Union lifer. She grew up dancing at her studio and being a member and eventually captain of the Union Varsity Highsteppers. After High School, she attended Kilgore College as a world famous Rangerette! After Kilgore, she came back as assistant director of the Highsteppers and graduated from TU with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication/Marketing and a minor in dance. She started the Tulsa 66ers dance team and danced for them for a year before she moved to Dallas, TX. There, she was the director of a 60 member drill team for 2 years. Upon moving back to Tulsa, she started the dance program at Sapulpa High School and became the director of the Ping Pings for 2 years, winning 2 state championships. In 2011, she became the director of the Varsity Highsteppers where she was the director for 10 years. She also started the Union dance program. While directing at Union her teams won 4 state titles. She’s been married for 13 years and her husband Brandon and her have 3 children; Marlowe (student at STDC), Boden, and Crew; whom she homeschools.  Megan is excited to be teaching & working as competition coordinator at STDC!
