Sydney grew up dancing in various capacities and was given many opportunities to learn from master teachers/companies such as Andrew Palermo, Pilobolus, and Giordano Jazz Dance Chicago, prior to beginning her journey at UCO. Her undergraduate career consisted of dancing/serving as Rehearsal Director in Kaleidoscope Dance Company and being a member of the UCO Pom Squad. During graduate school, Sydney was the NSU Pom Coach, Director/Technique Instructor of Impressions Dance Company, and a full time instructor at Melissa's Dance Studio. Following acceptance into a two month long Residency program, Sydney moved to New York City in 2017, where she performed in the music theatre, live event band, and dance industry - some favorite credits including Hairspray (North Shore Music Theatre) and dancing/choreographing with WellBeing Modern Dance Company. Sydney recently moved to Tulsa and is currently an Adjunct Professor of Dance at NSU - in addition to working as a freelance choreographer, singer, and now, the Director of STDC's THR!VE PreCompany. She is so thrilled to be able to continue her own dance education in Tulsa, while serving her students in every way possible.
